Welcome Message From The President

José Fournier Rebollo, MD
President
I still remember the trip with Aixa Velez and my wife Dr. Aurea Rivera to see the different resorts for the Mini, just finishing the 2019 Convention.  In November we already had our decision and the Ponce Hilton was booked. The ideas were flowing until January 7, 2020 arrived with a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in the southwestern part of Puerto Rico.
Regardless of the recurring aftershocks, with the help of our Committee Dr. Héctor López, Dr. Gil Nieves and Dr. Freddy Méndez the educational program was created and we continued our efforts to put together the Mini Convention 2020.
Then came Covid-19 with the new Pandemia.  To protect the Members and our families, and following the present Executive Orders, the Mini was changed to “Virtual”.   The idea seems “easy”, but a platform had to be “created” to see the presentations and get credit for them.
In order to fulfill the primary purpose of the PRUA, those conferences are presented as the “2020 Virtual PRUA Summer Urology Course”.
I hope that you enjoy them.
